The Southern Colorado Safe Streets Task Force is attempting to locate two wanted street criminals.
Anastasia Chancellor, 18, is described as a white female, 5 foot 8 inches tall and 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Chancellor has five warrants: a no-bond warrant for assault and two no-bond warrants for dangerous drugs. Her fourth warrant is for failure to comply, which includes aggravated motor vehicle theft, with the fifth warrant for failure to appear, which includes larceny. Her total bond amount is $3,100.
Reno Brown, 26, is described as a white male, 6 foot 2 inches tall and218 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Brown has a no-bond warrant for vehicular eluding, and two more warrants for failure to appear, which includes dangerous drugs and false imprisonment. His total bond amount is $4,500.

ONE-TIME SHELTER VETERINARIAN SENTENCED
Dr. Joel Brubaker, who in 2019 was charged with 12 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty stemming from his brief tenure as staff veterinarian for the now defunct PAWS for Life-operatedCommunity Animal Services of Pueblo, was recently sentenced.
As part of a plea agreement, Brubaker pled guilty to two counts of cruelty to animals-neglect/mistreat, with the remaining 10 counts dismissed. He was placed on 36 months probation, with 120 days of electronically monitored home detention,fined $500 and ordered to enroll in an anger management class and engage in alcohol and substance abuse evaluation and treatment.
"Our office introduced 18 photos and two brief videos," explained District Attorney Jeff Chostner. "Two of Brubaker’s vet techs testified on his behalf that the shelter was overwhelmed with animals, and Brubaker told the court the shelter was underfunded, understaffed, and overpopulated from the beginning."
Linda Mitchell, who served as administrator of the Community Animal Services of Pueblo, also was charged. She accepted a plea deal and is to besentenced on Nov. 18.
GUN-WIELDING SUSPECT SOUGHT
At 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, a malesuspect attempted to stealitems from Lowe's in the 12200 block of W. Hwy. 50.
Prior to leaving the store, the suspect brandished a silver handgun from his waistband and chambered a round, causing alarm for the employees. He then exited the store and placed the handgun in the front pocket of his hoodie.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 foot 6 inchestall and 115 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pantsand black shoes with red outline. He is considered armed and dangerous.

AUTO THEFT
Two vehicles, a black 2004 Dodge Ram ($8,000) and a gold 2005 Honda Accord ($5,000), were reported stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of East15th StreetThursday.
BURGLARY
A $3,000 Samsung thin plasma TV, and a $200 speaker, were reported stolen from a residence in the 4400 block of Erindale Lane Thursday.
The burglary victim told police about the incident during an investigation that led to the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle.
FIREARM THEFT
A Smith and Wesson SD40 VE .40 caliber handgun ($350) and a subwoofer and amplifier ($350) were reported stolen from a vehicle in 100 block of Hadley Rill Friday.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
A $3,000 Walker soil ground tamper belonging to Noraa Concrete was reported stolen from a work truck Thursday.
Police learned that two white males in a Ford F250 parked next to the work truckin the lot of Best Western, in the 4200 block of North Elizabeth Street. One of the men exited and removed the tamper from the Noraa Concrete truck and placed it into the bed of the F250.
An employee of the motel followed the suspects onto Highway 50, but eventually lost them.
THEFT
Twelve car batteries, two tires and a large tarp, with a combined value of $500, were reported stolen from a property on Fisher Avenue Thursday.
ALCOHOL RELATED ACCIDENT
A report of a vehicle sitting on its top on a sidewalk culminated with the arrest of the driver early Friday.
At 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a single-car crash on East Evans Avenue after a caller reported the overturned vehicle on the sidewalk.
The car was there, but the driver was not. Officers subsequently found the suspect, Jacqlyn L.A. Esquibel, 31, a few blocks away.
In addition to driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license-prior DUI conviction, Esquibel is facing charges that include careless driving, operating a vehicle in a recreational area, andfailure to report an accident.
.COMPASSION BEAT
This week, Officers Scott Vahlbusch and Jon McMillan were dispatched to a Belmont apartment complex on report of a vehicle break-in. The suspect stole items and damaged the ignition while trying to steal the car.
The victim, a single mother, only has liability coverage on the vehicle.
"Wondering whether they could help, the officers decided to call some businesses to see how much it would cost to get the car fixed," said Watch IV Capt. Tom Rummel. "OfficerMianna DeFusco joined the effort, and businessesbegan offering to donate parts, labor and towing to get this young lady’s car back in working order so she can get back and forth to her job and take care of her children."
Novus Glass, Discount Towing, RL Auto Supply and Troy Vujcich Auto Repair were credited by Rummel for their generosity in getting the vehicle back on the road.
