ALIVE BUT JAILED
Fortunately, he wasn't dead, but a Pueblo man is in jail after he was contacted, unresponsive, at a convenience store Thursday.
At 12:50 a.m., Officers Mike Cira and Scott Aubuchon responded to a Northern Avenue convenience store on report of a man down, and possibly deceased. There, they found a man laying between a concrete parking bumper and the sidewalk in front of the store.
"The male was so unresponsive that the officers weren’t certain of his status, but paramedics arrived and were able to wake him up," noted Capt. Tom Rummel.
The man, whom Rummel said was "on something," was identified as Nathan P. Granados, 28. As it turned out, Granados was a suspect in a case Officer Cira had earlier investigated.
After being medically cleared, Granados was arrested on suspicion of second degree assault-bodily injury and felony menacing, with a third charge of criminal mischief.
POTENTIAL SHOT FIRED
A 20-year-old male is listed as a suspect in the investigation of a shots fired call Wednesday in the 1900 block of Constitution Road.
The reporting party told police a male party in a green car was speeding up and down the streets inside of a trailer park. When the reporting person told him to "slow down," the driver began to curse and yell at the woman. He then drove back and forth multiple times.
As he exited the trailer park, the woman said she heard a gunshot.
Another witness said the driver of the green vehicle was the boyfriend of a female resident of the park. She told police the driver, who was the only one in the car, pointed a gun in the air, shooting one time.
The identity of the driver was confirmed by a woman who recently broke up with the suspect, evidently leading to the outburst in the park.
Security footage revealed a green car, with no license plates, traveling inside the park. It was unclear from the footage whether or not the driver had a gun.
A search of the area produced no shell casing.
